Stipulations
• It is understood that the Setauket Neighborhood House, the Setauket Neighborhood Association, Inc., and the Setauket Community House, Inc.,
are released from all liability in case of accident or injury to user or to any of his/her guests and are not responsible in any way for any personal property left in the House.

• All damages caused by or traceable to the user, must be repaired at the expense of the user.
In order to absolve the user from responsibility for damages or disrepair existing before use, the user must call attention of the caretaker to this damage immediately before the use of the House. If this is not done, the user makes himself/herself liable for any damage or disrepair which may be said to have happened during his/her occupancy.
The House must be left as it is found.

Restrictions
• Wine, and Champagne are permitted
Beer, ale and other alcoholic drinks are not permitted

• House furnishings may not be moved, taken down or
touched; i.e. sofa, chairs, pictures, grandfather clock, mirrors, without special permission from managers.

•Food may be warmed up and coffee prepared, but no
continuous frying or general cooking is permitted in the kitchen

• Nothing may be hung on any painted surfaces in the house. Pictures may be hung from molding in the Board and Ballroom only by using S clips.

• No tape, paste, tacks, Fun Tac or staples are permitted anywhere

• Votives in a candleholder are permitted in the Boardroom or Ballroom ONLY and must be monitored at all times

• No decorations may be attached to or hung from
wall sconces

• Food, Drink, and buffet tables are not permitted
in the parlors

• All caterers must be approved by the Setauket Neighborhood House

• Due to N.Y.S. Health Department Regulations and Fire Codes, there is NO SMOKING inside the Setauket Neighborhood House

• There shall be no trade, business, or any other commercial use in the House.

• Maximum occupancy 120

• The tennis courts are a private club and
not part of the rental

• Events must end at 11pm

Rentals & Deliveries

• Inform us if you are using any rentals

• Inform us of the arrival and pick up dates of the rentals

• Please make sure the rentals are placed in the
vestibule area outside the kitchen

• Please make sure the rental company is aware that
we cannot sign for any deliveries

• Please make sure the rental company is aware that we are not always here Ð you must give the specific instructions as to where to place rentals

• SNH is not responsible for any items left or picked
up by rental companies.

General Information

• All balloons must be tied down with weights
.
• NO balloons are allowed to be tied to the sign outside

• All balloons and STRING must be removed if tied to porch

• The House must be left as it is found

• The Neighborhood House provides soap and paper
for the restrooms

• Chairs and tables are located in the ballroom closet and may be carried about anywhere in the house

• The Neighborhood House does not provide coffee makers, ice, dishes, glasses, silverware etc...

• Power switches for fans and chandelier are located in the storage closet in the ballroom

• A telephone is located in the kitchen area. The number is 751-6208

• All children must be supervised by adults at all times! Children are not allowed to roam outside without adult supervision

• You may adjust the thermostats to suit your individual needs

• Please do not have the doors and or windows open when either the air conditioning or heat is on

• The doors are unlocked by 9am, if special arrangements are necessary please contact
Resident Managers

•The Resident Managers reserve the right
to make any changes in setup that they
deem inappropriate for the house.

Clean-up
• All clean-up must be done the same day as the event

• All chairs are to be place in the closet cushion side up
legs facing out

• All tables are to be put away in designated areas

• Please bring your own soap, dish towels, paper towels, sponges, detergents and heavy plastic bags

• All garbage must be secured in heavy plastic bags and placed in the dumpster. Please flatten boxes prior to placing in dumpster

• Please sweep all rooms that are used. A broom and dustpan are located in the kitchen vestibule area. A large broom is located in the ballroom closet

• Pick up debris left outside the building this includes the porch area, grass, and sidewalk

• Turn lights out when leaving house
